A new hall and meeting rooms were needed to accommodate diverse activities ranging from toddler groups to meals for the elderly to weekly youth clubs. The Petham Village Hall project was lottery funded and the new hall, located in a conservation area, was developed after much consultation with the planners and Conservation Department. The building's form is reminiscent of Kentish farm buildings and the external fabrics are local, traditional materials used elsewhere in the village.
