The curves of the 'S' shaped building lead the
visitor on a sensory journey in which they experience
the smell of wood, surprise at the changes in
volume and are encouraged to feel the different
finishes of timber. The Interpretation Centre
forms an impressive, vaulted public space encompassing
the whole volume of the chestnut frames. Another
appealing feature is the viewing deck at first
floor offering panoramic views across the ancient
woodland.
