‘Eco-friendly features include high insulation values, breathable exterior skin, solar shading and natural ventilation. The school is centred on a ‘street’ running north to south linking the reception and junior social spaces via the library, main hall and resource areas. A steel "tree", topped with a glazed atrium, supports the main roof structure. All classrooms benefit from natural light and have direct access to the external play/teaching spaces.
