The brief was to design a sustainable 7-classroom nursery in a sensitive and restricted location, in the heart of this exclusive London suburb, as a ‘feeder’ school for the prestigious Dulwich College Preparatory School. The new single storey building is imaginative with a striking Terne-coated stainless steel standing seam roof and symmetrical wings with radial ends branching off a central hub tower which houses the reception, exhibition and waiting areas.
