(Community) Primary School’s Proposed Expansion -

Planning Permission is now being sought for Phase
Three of the purpose-built Discovery (Community) Primary
School, in Kings Hill, Kent. The school, which opened
in September 2003, was designed by Lee Evans Partnership
to be developed in three stages so that its intake
could grow to meet the demands of the expanding Kings
Hill community.

Smarden Charter Hall - 03/05/07

hall for the picturesque Wealden Village of Smarden.
The Smarden Charter Hall was lottery funded and replaces
an old hall, a prefabricated timber structure, which
was becoming uneconomic to repair.

£1.2m refurbishment and extension programme
for Oakwood House, in Maidstone, Kent County Councils
(KCC) popular hotel, conference and training centre.
The scheme builds on the success of the centres
highly successful courtyard bar project, also designed
by LEP and completed in 2005.

The new Hope Street Centre in Sheerness on the
Isle of Sheppey which opened on Monday 19 March creates
a highly successful blueprint for community centres
which has already generated significant interest from

20 March at a gala dinner held at Blackpool’s Winter
