The Spitfire Public House, Kings Hill
- Studios: Architecture
- Client: Shepherd Neame Ltd
- Location: Kings Hill, Kent
- Completed: 2002
Kings Hill was created as a new village, with housing, community facilities, employment, education and a village centre, and as part of the development a new public house was erected by Kentish brewery chain, Shepherd Neame Ltd.
Kings Hill was built on a former Battle of Britain RAF base, and much of the new town gives a ‘nod’ to this heritage, including The Spitfire Public House.
Designed to be reminiscent of a flight control tower, the building provides contemporary dining and bar facilities on two levels, with separate venue spaces for private events.
