A small single storey extension, which will be self-built by the client, to the rear of a smallholding located in the rural village of Denton near Canterbury. The proposed building will use sustainable local materials and provide an energy efficient extension with low running costs. The extension is intended to be constructed with a timber frame, straw bale wall construction and a turf roof.
