Young Epilepsy – The Neville Centre

  • Studios: Architecture | Planning
  • Client: Young Epilepsy
  • Location: Lingfield, Surrey
  • Completed: 2010

The Neville Centre is the first purpose-built childhood epilepsy centre for assessment, treatment and research in the UK, and the only specialist facility of its kind and is designed to be an international resource for paediatric epilepsy.

Existing 1960s buildings form the core of the development, with major refurbishment and extensions being carried out to create these outstanding facilities. The projects driving ethos was to create an environment in which users could function first and foremost as children/young adults, secondly as pupils, and finally as patients.

Awards: LABC South East Building Excellence Award in the Best Community Development 2010
