We’ve been shortlisted for Architect of the Year!

BDAYA19

BD Magazine’s ‘Architect of the Year Awards’ are one of the most prestigious in the business, and Lee Evans Partnership is excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for two categories; Retail & Leisure, and Sustainability.

With a strengthening portfolio in both of these categories, LEP is over-the-moon to have been shortlisted alongside other talented design studios.

Schemes such as the new Student Union ‘Woody’s’ bar at the University of Kent,  the award-winning innovative timber football stand at Dover Athletic Football Club, and the purpose built Whitstable Bay Veterinary Practice bolstered our submission in the Retail & Leisure category – a sector which has been principally fronted by Associate Senior Technologist, Lee Waters.

Our exciting and unique research project at Dalby Square in Margate – which re-imagines a Victorian seaside terrace property to form a climate change adapted, multi-generational (‘3G’) home  – was one of the key schemes driving our Sustainability submission.  Our timber football stand in Dover is also a notable player in this category, as well as the award-winning Samphire Hoe Education Shelter, located on a man-made peninsular created from spoil from the Channel Tunnel excavations, creating a unique nature reserve.

The awards ceremony will be held on 1st May in London.  We wish every success to all practices shortlisted for this year’s awards.  View the full shortlist here.
