Megan Land

Megan Land joined LEP in September 2025 as a Research Assistant while completing her final year at the University of Kent, studying History. Her passion for the past was sparked by an inspiring secondary school teacher, and strengthened during work experience with the Lead Conservation Officer at the local council, and also a work experience stint here at LEP back in 2023. Megan loves exploring the local architectural heritage of Kent, and looks forward to applying her historical knowledge practically, helping bring the stories of buildings, and those who have inhabited them, to life.
As part of her History degree at the University of Kent, she spent a year studying abroad in New Brunswick, Canada, which broadened her perspective. She is particularly drawn to the storytelling aspect of her role and the opportunity to connect history with the built environment. Following completion of her degree in 2026, Megan plans to continue in a career focused around her love of historic buildings.
Outside work, Megan enjoys reading, crafting, and musical theatre, and is passionate about climate change and Youth Voice initiatives.
