Nicholas Lee Evans

  • Studios: Architecture/Heritage
  • Position: Senior Partner / Architect
  • Qualifications: BSc, MSc, DipArch, ARB, RIBA SCA

Nick spent his early career working for both contractors and architects in London before joining Lee Evans Partnership in 1983, where is he is now Managing Partner. His projects over the last 30 years reflect his commitment to the “Architecture of Community” which brings with it a range of new design challenges as buildings not only need to become more flexible according to their community’s needs, but also need to be sympathetically preserved.

Nick is a Specialist Conservation Architect and has a particular expertise in the design of church buildings seeking to respect historic fabric, whilst adapting them to their current and future needs and mission. He is currently Inspecting Architect for over 20 listed Anglican churches and looks after several listed Methodist and URC churches. Nick is also the Author of the RIBA’s book ‘An Introduction to Architectural Conservation’.
