Emerging Images from Wye College Redevelopment
Work has continued to progress on the redevelopment of the historic Wye College site, a remarkable collection of Grade I and Grade II listed medieval and Edwardian buildings located at the heart of the village of Wye in Kent.
With origins dating back to the mid-15th century, the site was originally established to train secular priests and to educate local boys through an attached grammar school. The college was housed within a striking group of medieval buildings that still form a defining part of the village today.
In 1890, the buildings became home to Wye Agricultural College. Over the next century the institution, which later became part of the University of London and subsequently Imperial College, developed an international reputation for excellence in agriculture, horticulture and environmental studies.
Today, the site, which closed in 2009, is being given a new lease of life through a sensitive redevelopment that will transform the former college buildings into 50 unique luxury residences, while carefully preserving the historic fabric that defines the estate.

Blending Heritage with Contemporary Living
LEP’s role in the scheme brings together heritage conservation, contemporary architecture and carefully curated interior design. The scheme celebrates the site’s rich architectural history by retaining and restoring original features dating back to the 15th century, while introducing contemporary elements that support modern lifestyles.
Each residence has been designed to provide elegant and comfortable living spaces, with interiors that emphasise natural materials, neutral tones and refined detailing. The homes will also incorporate modern technologies and sustainable infrastructure, including EV charging points, ensuring the development meets the expectations of modern residents.

Progress on Site
Construction works are well underway, with several of the historic quads now completed. The Grade I Quad, one of the most historically significant areas of the campus, remains in active development and is currently the focus of ongoing restoration work.
As the project progresses, the transformation of the site is becoming increasingly visible, with a number of beautifully restored spaces beginning to emerge that highlight the character and craftsmanship of the original buildings.
