Margate Digital, EKC Campus

  • Studios: Architecture | Planning | Interiors | Heritage
  • Client: EKC Group
  • Location: Margate, Kent
  • Completed: Planning permission granted

This regeneration scheme will re-purpose the former Marks & Spencer department store on Margate’s High Street to provide a new media hub and education facilities for East Kent College Group (EKC Group), specialising in the industry-related digital technology and the creative arts.  It is hoped that this digital hub will positively link with local businesses, promoting the area and enhancing the town centre.

LEP’s architects, planners, heritage consultants and interior designers have worked closely with EKC Group to realise their ambitions, who, in partnership with Thanet District Council, have successfully secured Levelling Up Funding from the Government to undertake this project.

We’re excited to see this interesting scheme progress, and look forward to sharing more about it in the near future.
